RayNeo Glasses & Night Shift / Night Light / Night Mode
Most devices have a special mode to make the screen less bright and the colors warmer at night. This is something that I really want I get working with my RayNeo smart glasses (Air 2 and Air 4 Pro).
With the Air 4 Pro glasses into HDR10 mode, I achieved these results:
macOS 26.5 Night Shift - NOT Working
iOS 26.5 Night Shift - Working
Android 16 Night Mode - NOT Working
Windows 11 25H2 Night Light - Working
Ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS Night Light - Working
Slightly different results with the Air 2 glasses:
macOS 26.5 Night Shift - NOT Working
iOS 26.5 Night Shift - NOT Working
Android 16 Night Mode - NOT Working
Windows 11 25H2 Night Light - Working
Ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS Night Light - Working
Has anyone had any luck getting these modes to work on Android and macOS? What modifications and/or configurations were necessary to get it working?
Update 1: Was able to use BetterDisplay 4.3.3 to make Night Shift work on macOS with the Air 4 Pro (but not the Air 2). Under the SmartGlasses display configuration, navigate to "System Configuration and Flexible Scaling" and then enable "Edit the system configuration of this display model". Next, scroll down and expand "More system configuration options", then scroll down to "Edit display role" and change it to "Computer monitor" - apparently these glasses present themselves as a Television and this prevents Night Shift from working.
Update 2: Not sure why, but Night Mode on Android 16 works with both the Air 2 and Air 4 Pro when I turn on Color Correction under Accessibility. Unfortunately the problem here is Color Correction is designed for visual impairments and so the experience for me is sub-optimal. Grayscale seems to be the best of all possible options.
