Intense storm tested my tarp skills.
This is in the Uintas at about 9270 feet, two days ago. I feel like my tarp skills are very amateur. This storm had very strong winds coming off the lake that hit the broad side of my tarp. The thunder and lightning was so incredibly close it was terrifyingly loud. There was an initial deluge of rain and hail that calmed down once the storm front passed. It rained for about 6-7 hours nonstop after. I was very glad I wasn’t in a tent.
Not sure if it was luck, but I stayed dry and I feel like my tarping skills just leveled up. I honestly can’t believe it withstood the storm. Whew!
Now I need to work on my knot tying skills.
