I Was Sent a Corrected 1095-A Form and No One Will Tell Me Whether I Should Amend My Taxes or Not

I'm located in Minnesota, USA.

I received a corrected 1095-A from my state's marketplace without any explanation for why, what any of its changes mean or what to do next. I called them for more information and they didn't know anything and couldn't help me. It was recommended I approach the tax preparation services I used and ask them about it instead.

After some further research I contacted them because the info on the IRS website and elsewhere didn't make things clearer about whether I need to amend my taxes or not. After getting past a firewall of AI chatbots I finally got to a human who would reply to me once every few hours. I explained the situation and told him that the numbers on the original and corrected form were identical considering what they needed to calculate my Premium Tax Credit. If that was the case, did that mean amending my taxes weren't necessary?

It was at this point that he said he wasn't a tax professional and couldn't help me with this after all... which has brought me here. I know this may be a softball question and open me up to a barrage of abuse for all I know. This is Reddit, after all. I'm just trying to do my best.

If I need to add more (non-compromising) information or anything else, let me know.

Question about Blood Tests

This year I was given a psychological evaluation and diagnosed with "Unspecified Neurocognitive Disorder" relating to some head injuries I suffered in my early 20s. It was recommended that I seek a referral for a neurologist to follow up on this and figuring out what's going on. After a five month wait I was able to see one for a short consultation.

Since that appointment everything related to it has been a mess, and among my many headaches were some orders put in for four blood tests:

  • Folic Acid
  • TSH with Reflex
  • Vitamin B12
  • Vitamin D 25

My question is: are these tests crucial to figuring out a neurology diagnosis in my case? Getting them done has turned out to be a bureaucratic nightmare, and I've had experiences before where physicians seemingly love to order tests that aren't necessary for... reasons.

If anyone out there has advice on whether pursuing these tests is worth it, I would really appreciate it, because I have reached the point where getting them is going to involve a lot of research, phone calls and potentially a $1,000+ bill. If I don't need them I want to focus on that seems more essential, like a MRI.
