Ravnos Chimerstry?
I’m brand new to VtM, and I got really hooked on the idea of a small-time, touring Ravnos musician, who hits bars and small venues for gigs and the occasional feed. I’m super excited for the concept, but I keep seeing Chimerstry brought up when talking about Ravnos, and I don’t quite get it.
Even my ST brought it up a few weeks ago at when we were all gathered to discuss our ideas. Everything I find makes it seem like it’s built into the clan identity, but I feel like I’m missing something. It seems… okay? It’s a cool minor distraction, and I’m totally stealing the idea of causing a car crash by messing with how someone sees a street light that I saw somewhere earlier. But it doesn’t seem like it actually plays into the idea of a tricksy, illusionary clan very effectively.
Am I missing some important context or a more reliable usage of it? I don’t want to realize that I’m “missing out” by passing it over, but I feel like I’m missing the thing that really makes it an important part of being Ravnos.
(I’m open to any character questions/ideas too. I might not have good answers yet, but I’ll try my best.)
