Announcing Fifty Years of Judge Dredd – A 50th Anniversary Celebration!

Releasing 11th February 2027, Fifty Years of Judge Dredd is an over-sized omnibus collection of Dredd’s greatest cases from the pages of 2000 AD, alongside interviews with some of the greatest talents in comics to have brought him to life. Available in standard hardback or webshop-exclusive slipcase editions, each slipcase is individually numbered and showcases exclusive new artwork by Henry Flint, inspired by Carlos Ezquerra’s original character design sketch (which is also featured on the flipside of the slipcase).

Fantastic for fans of Judge Dredd who want a one-stop collection to grab from their bookshelf — and a perfect primer for readers new to the character — this landmark title will be published as part of the celebrations of 2000 AD’s fiftieth anniversary in February 2027.

Since he was created by John Wagner (A History of Violence) and Carlos Ezquerra (Preacher) half a century ago, Judge Dredd has acted as judge, jury and executioner on the streets of the dystopian city of Mega-City One. These stories have ranged from sci-fi satire to war story, from epic adventure to iconic horror.

This dense and sweeping collection will feature classic encounters with legendary villains like Judge Death through to corruption and evil lurking inside the Justice Department itself, in a definitive celebration of Judge Dredd’s electric — and uninterrupted — run in 2000 AD from 1977 right through to the present day.

Featuring work by world-renowned creators such as Brian Bolland (Killing Joke), Cam Kennedy (Star Wars), Duncan Fegredo (Hellboy) RM Guera (Scalped) and more, Fifty Years of Judge Dredd collects forty of the very best complete stories; each strip has been carefully selected to showcase his great versatility, showcasing The Lawman of The Future at his very best and showing what makes him one of the most iconic characters in British comics.

This massive collection also features brand new interviews with just some of the incredible writers and artists who have brought their own unique take to Judge Dredd over the years, from co-creator John Wagner to master stylist Jock. Interviewed by Eisner Award-winning writer Michael Molcher (I Am The Law), the creators who shaped and refined Dredd tell the Lawman’s stories in their own words, exploring his enduring appeal as a character across five decades of publication.

From Dark Judges to Love Stories; from The Apocalypse War to Young Giant, these forty stories feature Judge Dredd’s most iconic and memorable moments from across the years. Ranging from the tragedy of Bury My Knee at Wounded Heart to the comedy of Crossing Ken DoddFifty Years of Judge Dredd is a titanic celebration of one of the most important and beloved characters in cultural history.

Editor Chiara Mestieri says of the news: “I am so excited to be back for another Scream! special, and with this murderers’ row of creative teams, no less! It has been a blast to dive back into the shadows, and to dial up the shock, horror, blood and guts across these pages.”

Then, cower as Zoe Tunnell, Chloe Brailsford, JP Jordan and Jodie Troutman team for Consent Is Key. Tunnell explains: ” We already live in an era of voracious capitalism and AI causing more doubt and confusion in what we are seeing and hearing than ever. Announcing The 2000 AD Art of Dave Gibbons Apex Edition

Before Watchmen and Martha Washington, there was 2000 AD – Rebellion is proud to announce The 2000 AD Art of Dave Gibbons: Apex Edition!

As revealed today by Near Mint Condition, the latest in Rebellion’s Apex Edition oversized hardcover art books series will feature early work from one of Britain’s most distinctive comic artists, known the world over thanks to his partnership with Alan Moore on the groundbreaking superhero series Watchmen.

With his work appearing from the very first issue of 2000 AD, Gibbons quickly established himself as a pre-eminent talent — his clean lines, bold characters, eye for detail, and inventive imagination winning over a generation of readers and marking him out for greatness.

Due for publication on 11th November 2026, The 2000 AD Art of Dave Gibbons: Apex Edition will give readers a unique insight into this pivotal moment in Gibbons’ career, from establishing himself as the definitive artist on future sports strip Harlem Heroes and revamping the archetypal British comic character Dan Dare, to co-creating the genetically-modified sci-fi warrior Rogue Trooper — the subject of a forthcoming movie written and directed by Duncan Jones (MoonSource Code).

Lovingly put together by Rebellion’s experienced reprographics and editorial teams, this new 128-page collection will presents Gibbons’ work at its true size — all pages will be newly-scanned at high resolution from the original artwork, giving readers an unprecedented up-close look at the work of a comics master.

Measuring 481mm × 371 mm, this Apex Edition will feature work from Gibbons’ runs on Harlem Heroes and Dan Dare alongside pages from robot rescue squad series Ro-Busters, its anarchic successor ABC WarriorsJudge Dredd, and Rogue Trooper.

It will also include many pages from his first collaborations at 2000 AD with writer Alan Moore, including the time-travel short story ‘Chrono-Cops’. Following their work on 2000 AD, the pair would go on to redefine the superhero genre with their stunning work — alongside fellow 2000 AD alumni colourist John Higgins — on the twelve-issue 1986 series Watchmen for DC Comics, which remains one of the best-known and best-selling graphic novels of all time.

The 2000 AD Art of Dave Gibbons: Apex Edition (ISBN: 978-1-83786-761-5) is out on 11th November 2026. The standard edition will be available from all good comic book stores and the 2000 AD webshop at 2000AD.com, while a special, limited edition slipcase edition will be available exclusively from the 2000 AD webshop.

Zenith: The Full Colour Omnibus Edition Arrives in December!

Grant Morrison and Steve Yeowell’s ground-breaking superhero odyssey is back and presented for the first time in full colour!

The original run of the beloved 2000 AD classic series was made up of four stories, with only the final of these presented in colour – for this new edition, Books 1-3 have been freshly coloured by acclaimed new talent JP Jordan (Sink Your Teeth In), providing a new approach to one of 2000 AD’s most acclaimed stories!

Follow the bratty Zenith as he finds himself embroiled in dangers from all sides – not that he’s paying huge amounts of attention to what’s going on; there’s girls to chase and charts to top – from German supersoldiers to extradimensional threats. Zenith is one of 2000 AD’s only ventures into the familiar world of superheroes, and carries our distrust of that entire genre. These heroes aren’t out to help us, they’re just out for themselves – how can Zenith and his ragtag clutch of allies, including the psychic conservative politician Peter St John and drunk firebrand Red Dragon, possibly save the country from the gravest threats it has ever faced?

Collecting the whole of Zenith from Book One to Book Four in complete colour for the very first time, The Zenith Full Colour Omnibus hits shelves this December! Alongside the standard hardback edition, we’re also delighted to unveil a webshop-exclusive hardback edition featuring an all-new cover from Yeowell and Jordan which features characters from across the full run of the series!

A highpoint in 2000 AD’s five-decade history, featuring ascendant writing from Morrison and career-defining artistry from Yeowell, sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll has never looked so good!
