Devastating Results From Birth Control
After suffering from extreme pain and multiple trips to the ER my doctor decided I should take Demulen, a low dose birth control pill 365 days a year to stop my periods. This was great no more worrying about becoming pregnant and no more pain. I was on it for quite a few years. Then one day I was in the kitchen making dinner and the next minute I was on the floor. I couldn't feel my legs. Called 911 and off to the hospital I went. After 2 months in hospital they could not find a reason for this so they sent me off to another hospital for more advanced investigation. Within the first day I was there they pretty well knew why I was paralyzed and it was confirmed by a MRI that I had a blood clot in my spinal cord. On further investigation it was concluded it was caused by the birth control pills. That was 16 years ago and have been in a wheelchair ever since. Has anyone ever heard of this happening? If it was Yasmin, I could have been compensated but it wasn't. My entire life was turned upside down.
