DEA July 2026 Announcement — Second Chance at PT Test?
Does anyone know if DEA gives you a second attempt at the initial PT test if you don't hit the minimum score?
I applied under the July 2026 announcement and took my PT test today. I had been going off the standards from the previous announcements and thought I needed 9 total points to pass. I ended up scoring 10 points and didn't push myself any harder than I needed to because I thought I had already cleared the minimum.
After the test, I went back through the updated test prep guide for the July announcement and saw that they changed the minimum to 12 points.
Pretty frustrating because I know I could've hit 12 if I had known that was the standard going into it. I was intentionally trying not to burn myself out once I knew I had what I thought was a passing score.
Has anyone processing under the July 2026 announcement dealt with this yet? Do they normally give you a second attempt at the PTA, or does missing the 12-point minimum end your application?
