Thoughts on NAM, HREF, SREF, and HiresW being retired this year?

Personally I think this is a good thing, RRFS saw a big jump in capability and correct modeling over the past two years, and apparently RRFSv2 with MPAS core will soon be released and it’s apparently incredibly accurate.

I’m personally happy to see NOAA putting heavy effort into the modernization and advancement of models, cutting spend on maintaining old models is one of the things that has to be done to re-allocate funds to new ones.

Is musks lawyer throwing the case?

I’m listening to the OAI trial, and I cannot fathom how Musk ended up with this lawyer, the way he questions every subject comes across as confrontational And adversarial on every question. It’s so off putting that I feel like he’s purposely trying to annoy the jury.

And from court reports, the reactions the jury shows is in line with that feeling.
