My partner and I (both LGBTQ and POC) recently vacationed in Myrtle Beach. Many times, we didn’t feel comfortable holding hands when out and about, as we got stared at.

We’re native to VA (Richmond / Virginia Beach) and looking for some local places people have vacationed at and felt comfortable doing so (or places people know to be accepting). Preferably beachy spots or spots where you can get real rest & relaxation. Spend your time doing nothing.

So far I’ve heard good things about Chincoteague
and Cape Charles. Would love additional recommendations. TIA!
