Has anyone ever seen an explanation of what normal pain perception is like?

Sometimes when I am with health workers and am asked does this hurt I think "of course. but what do they mean? what is hurt? should it?"

New to VV. Is there a better window - 50 days or whatever - for upgrade bids? The price online for a new booking on my summer cruise has gone down, so I know there is availability. The current bid minimum is higher than I'm willing to offer.
