I’m curious, who decides the temperature of your workplace/office?
If you work in a shared environment like an open plan office, a retail space or anywhere with multiple people, who actually decides whether the heating or the AC stays on?
Surely the ideal situation is finding a comfortable middle ground that works for everyone. But what happens when one person constantly tries to take control of the temperature and enforce their own preference on everyone else?
At what point does “I’m too cold” or “you can’t turn the AC on just take your layers off” stop being a personal issue and start affecting the whole workplace? Curious to hear how other places deal with it.
