Hi! we are fulfilling long bucket list entry -- going to Iceland! We have three days pre-cruise in Reyjavik having a hard time finding a place to stay that isn't a fortune.

I did look on Reddit, but I wasn't able to find anything that was specific. We will be there at the very end of August.
The biggest challenge is finding a place that we can book directly through the venue so around, then going through an aggregator which I prefer not to use.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated -- we would prefer not to share a bathroom, but we consider it in a place that's highly recommended.

what are must see that will fit within the time framework of our visit?

we are in our 60s, but we don't have any Mobility issues and are not afraid of the cold or rain. we're not looking to hike, but to take as much of the views as we possibly can.

We've already secured a rental Car.
