Fan curves + 4tb ssd
Sorry if this is a bit long but I dont know if this is the right tag for this post but i just tuned my ally properly in manual mode,
My tdp things are:
SPL: 30W
SPPT: 38W
FPPT: 46W
I also disabled cpu boost and enabled ultimate performance in control panel power options. I have also noticed a 10-15°C drop and more performance than turbo mode, what do you guys have as your tdp things? Should i change mine or leave it as is,
also for my fan curves for fan 1:
30° at 10% speed
40° at 20%
50° at 35%
60° at 60%
70° at 75%
80° at 80%
And 90° and 100° at 100% speed
Fan 2:
30° at 15% speed
40° at 25%
50° at 40%
60° at 65%
70° at 80%
80° at 90%
And 90° and 100° at 100% speeds
Are they too aggressive? What do you guys have on your ally’s?
also i have noticed beamng sits at 70° around 50 fps with 4 traffic cars enabled and some mods and Fortnite runs close to 120 fps at 900p sometimes stable but i have custom settings in fortnite that i dont know off by heart.
Now for the 4tb ssd upgrade, i was thinking of this crucial t500 4tb 2280 that i have attached.
I know that i need a 2280 adapter but have any of you put a 4tb or maybe 8tb 2280 or maybe lower storage capacity 2280s in your ally? I heard you also have to cut something off the backplate. And would a 70x20x2mm heatsink be big or fine for the space inside the ally?
I also want to dual boot bazzite but ive heard people talking about steamOS or cachyOS, do they run well on the ally? And is everything supported like fan curves and tdp stuff like armoury crate se.
Anyways sorry for all of the questions and thanks to anyone that reads and replies to this but i was just wondering about this for a while and let me know about your manual settings and how much fps it runs in some games.
