Shenandoah National Park - Old Rag Alternatives

Hi all! I'm traveling to Shenandoah National Park next week and I planned 2 days. The original plan was first day: old rag loop hike, second: skyline drive and short hikes along the way. I'm staying near Madison for the first night, around Front Royal the second, and will be driving south on the second day.

My problem is I just saw there's a great chance it's gonna rain on the day I plan on hiking, with thunderstorms. I don't think it's wise to go for the hike anymore if the weather's like that. It's gonna be my first time in Virginia, I'm not very familiar with the area. I'm wondering where else can I go if old rag is not possible. I would prefer east side of Shenandoah so it's kinda on my way to where I'm going to stay. I don't mind hiking in the rain as long as it's safe.

Thanks in advance!
