M33, For some weeks now i noticed a lot of hair in my shower. I wash my hair every 3 to 4 days. Today i counted and it was like 160 hairs. Like a view month ago i was used by like a third in the sink. Took some pictures afterwards with different combs and lightning. Also added the last pic i made with dry hair. Is the reaper coming? How long before shaving😬😬
I’ve been using finasteride for over 15 years without any noticeable side effects. About 3 months ago, I decided to add dutasteride to my regimen.
I started with 0.5 mg once per week for 4 weeks, then increased to twice per week and have continued that until now.
I experienced a pretty significant shed after starting dut, but that seems to have stopped already.
However, I’m seriously considering stopping dutasteride because of several side effects: • During the first 3–4 weeks, my libido dropped noticeably, but that has returned to normal. • Every other day, I experience brain fog. For work, it’s a real problem because I can’t concentrate as well as I used to. • I’ve never been particularly eloquent, but over the last few weeks I’ve developed noticeable word-finding difficulties. Sometimes I even mix up words when speaking. • Since starting dut, alcohol seems to affect me differently. Even after just 2 beers, I often feel mildly hungover the next day and need much longer to recover.
Has anyone experienced similar cognitive side effects from dutasteride? If so, did they improve after stopping, and how long did it take?
