I recently inherited this and a Minolta X-700. Trying to get both set up to start doing some photography, but i have no prior experience with SLR cameras, or really any cameras.

Problem is that I can't turn the focusing ring on the SLR at all. Looking online I saw I should try heating it with a blowdryer, but I wanted to check here before I did anything
