Traveling to Puerto Rico

Salutations ladies and gentlemen. I just got back from a trip to Puerto Rico with my significant other and it was amazing. Here is a short recap. I'm currently waiting for approval since my permit expired back in February. I was able to use my expired DL with the real ID star (Illinois) I did paid for the TSA verification which I was never asked for by TSA, no issues going through TSA at either airports no ICE or anything like that . On the way to Puerto Rico the plane couldn't land do to heavy rain and air traffic at SJU so we landed in the Dominican Republic due to the plane running low on fuel. We were there for about 30 minutes and boy was i shitting bricks 😳. We never left the airplane and the doors never open . Regardless of my experience, do your own research and travel at your own risk. I do recommend to check the TSA website. Happy travels and forza to all of us who are still waiting for approval!
