Hey, I wanted to get a broad idea of what the 1st year CSE crowd is like.

For the current students:

- What kind of projects are people generally building in first year?

- Is DSA/LeetCode something most people start early, or only a few?

- How common is hackathon participation among first years?

- Do many first years already have strong GitHub profiles or internships, or is that rare?

- How competitive is the overall peer group in first year?

- Apart from these, what are people generally doing that gives them an edge?

Would appreciate honest insights.
