I am considering a year long internship in a high level group in my research field in UCL. These are high flyers. It would be in London and I would not be paid by them but by my actual uni, so very low income. But I plan to apply to a MSCA postdoc with them maybe.

For those who live work or worked in UK, What do you think? I am hearing very contrasting opinions, and hearing of people leaving...

Hi all, I will be moving for a 10months research internship, looking for advice:

- internship site: central London

- stipend: 1300/m

- I can commute by bike and eat rice and beans.

What are my chances to survive this period without financial burnout? And where would it be easier to find a flat share within my budget?
