Cat Abandoned During Move

Hi Durham Reddit. I am reaching out because a cat in my apartment complex was left behind after a student moved away. This is actually the second time this same cat has been abandoned by an owner. I have been doing what I can by leaving food and water, but I don't have the resources or circumstances needed to properly care for a cat long term. Anyone willing to take in a stray?

Update 5/16: I still haven’t been able to secure the cat, but I’m continuing to try and will keep this post updated. Thank you to everyone in the community who has reached out with information, support, and offers to help. It truly means a lot.

I Feel so Unhelpful re. Homelessness

Has homelessness increased in Durham in the last year?

If you could guide Durham officials on how to reduce homelessness, what would you do?
