In the last 6 months, I’ve spent some time finding some stuff, my beloved Bowers & Wilkins 705 S1, SVS SB1000Pro and my newest addition: Rotel A12MK2. Sounds incredible!

I’m in the market for a new set of bookshelves, and I’ve had my mind on the B&W 606 S3 for a while, and the other day on marketplace a pair of the OG 705 S1 came up for $1050AUD (The 606’s are $1400AUD.) Now I absolutely love the design of the 705s, and I was wondering what people on this page would think of the choice. Should I take the gamble and get the older 705s or are the 606s advanced over 20 years and are more worth and the safety of getting new speakers and having warranty etc.

Bought it yesterday and am very excited to finally have a sub and I think it’s really transformed the sound. Having the app to control it is also really helpful!

Getting an svs sb1000pro soon, and I am unsure of the placement. The right side has no space for a sub as there’s a walkway and a door. Would placing it where the Tele is work with the shelf? Would there be any weirdness going on with the shelf being a couple meters infront of the sub?

Where would a great place to put a sub in my room, I was thinking to the left of the speaker where the Tele is? Any other places?
