I have a CAM type impingement along with acetabular over coverage and a small labrum tear, along with some instability and femoral neck deformity that is basically cancelled out by the impingement. I’ve done 8 months of pt and 2 rounds of steroid injections. The surgeon and I have talked and the plan is for her to go in and shave down the impingement and look at/repair the labrum if needed. Has anyone had this surgery? Did it worsen instability? What was recovery like? I’m pretty nervous about it and would love to know what it was like for anyone else.
