AMA - former manager at a center
Hello,
I did this a few months ago and got some wonderful questions. I figured I’d do a part two. Set up a AMA style to answer any questions you may have from the perspective of a for manager at a center.
I started my journey at a Center as the CSIO also known as CSO or Dean of students. Depending on the centers structure. This position in short rewarded the good and worked to redirect the not so good.
I moved up to be a safety and security manager of a center. Over seeing the security department as well as all health and safety (think OSHA).
I left a year ago during the shut down threats for another job that aligns more with my interests.
I’ll answer almost any questions I can. Perspective from staff. Rules and policies regarding the infractions. Operations of the center. Why I left and what I do now. What training staff get working at a center before and during their time there. Almost anything you ask I’ll do my best to answer.
What I will not disclose is the exact center I worked at. Names of any staff or student at the center I worked at or other centers I visited.
I can provide general advice or guidance or even a sounding board if you’d like.
When I worked there I was everything in the eyes of the staff and students. I was a trustworthy one that everyone said go talk to Mr. {insert last name here} to Mr. {insert last name here} is the worse. Obviously I’m not providing my last name here haha.
I enjoyed this last time and got some great questions so I figured I’d do it again.
