What childhood show instantly makes you feel like life was simpler again?
I had one of those evenings recently where I randomly found an old clip from a show I used to watch after school and it hit me much harder than expected.
For me it's Arthur.
Something about the music and the way it looks immediately puts me back in the sitting room after school, still in my uniform, rain outside, eating toast and having absolutely nothing important to worry about except whether I'd done my homework.
It's not even that I desperately want to rewatch the whole thing now. The memory of watching it is almost more comforting than the actual show.
There are a few others that do it too, but Arthur is the strongest. A couple seconds of the intro and suddenly my brain thinks it's 4pm in 2005.
What cartoon or show does that for you?
Not necessarily the one you think was objectively the best, just the one that gives you that really specific feeling of being young and completely carefree again.
