Australian Customs Issues Advice

Looking for some advice.
I bought a bandsaw and hardness testing machine on Alibaba last year in October.
The shipping forwarding company I was using told me the ship arrived in Australia in November - since then they haven't given me any details. As per other threads, I've asked for customs docs like a bill of lading etc, but they've told me they're unable to provide it.
They keep telling me it's stuck in customs - at this point I know they've done something dodgy because I asked for DDP; my question is whether there's any chance at all that I'll actually receive my goods at any point?
I've followed the ship tracking, and the ship landed last year in November, but I've received no updates since then. I had used this shipping forwarder a few times in the past with no issues, so I wasn't expecting these kind of issues.
I'm in the process of requesting a refund for all the shipping fees I paid, but Alibaba has told me I'm not able to request compensation for the goods I presumably won't receive, even though I have proof and photos and screenshots of the agent saying they've received and have my goods in our chat history.
Safe to say I'm done with Alibaba after this :/
