Hi Everyone,

Quick time line of my experience with German Schengen visa.

I emailed the embassy to check if I qualify since there is no direct mention of short stay visa via post on the Canadian website. They quickly responded asking for my old visa stamps for biometrics and confirmed I can mail in my passport along with the checklist of documents. Additionally they wanted my work permit notarized. For reference my last biometrics was in NYC a couple years back.

May 5 - mailed in my application
May 6 - package delivered
May 8 - emailed them asking for receipt
May 9 - email response confirming passport received
May 12 - return tracking got activated
May 13 - passport received
