How do you find the Moment about the point for structures with angles ≠ 90°?

As it says in the title, how do I find the Moment about a point when there are angles not equal to 90°? I'm rather confused as I can't seem to find much information online regarding this. For the question in the first picture, I understand that you can use Varignon's Theorem to solve for the lower part of the crane as it is at a 90° angle, but now with the boom at 34° what I am supposed to do? Do I just break it down and solve for the moment at the lower end of the boom? And if I do that, how do I determine the direction of the force? The picture on the second question is similar, albeit a little simpler but i believe the concept is the same. I'm honestly not sure where to start, how to put them together, and would really appreciate some help from those who have done this before! I don't want you guys to solve it for me, but I would like you guys to teach me the concept behind it. Thanks.
