PPF for 2026 Aprilia RS660 Factory
So I just bought a new 2026 Aprilia RS660 Factory (first time buying an Aprilia and she's a BEAST) and I want to get PPF applied on the bike. Called up multiple shops in my area and so far it looks like only two that are close to me service bikes for PPF. Was just looking for some advice regarding what PPF brand most people recommend and anything to watch out for as this is the first time im trying to have PPF applied on a bike. My two options from the shops I have talked to so far are:
XPEL Ultimate Plus - Although XPEL is well known I heard Ultimate Plus has some orange peel issues and my bike is mostly black so I'm worried that orange peel would be more prominent. I asked the sales rep, and they told me I could add ceramic coating on top of the ppf if I am that worried about it for an extra $700 - $1200 😭)
Global (Garware PPF) - I couldn't find much info about this PPF manufacture online but the rep at this shop was telling me how they used to use XPEL and switched to this because of XPEL's declining quality in recent times. Sounds promising, but again I couldn't find much on this brand. Hoping someone here has experience with it.
I understand the installer's skill matters more than the brand, and from what I can tell from reviews and talking to the reps, both places seem about as good as each other. The shop applying XPEL is a little more costly but I dont mind paying more for better protection granted that I don't have to compromise on looks as much. Would appreciate any help, thanks!
