Hi! I'm a student and I've considered for years to move to malmö, but I'm a bit confused on how waitlists for apartments works in Sweden. I'm from Denmark, and we have private and public renters, generally speaking public is much safer and stable, but as far as I can gather, Swedish rentals seems to be more private governed. Are the laws for private rentals safe enough, are waitlists still the safe option? Are there any sites you could recommend that I might have missed?

Sorry if any of these questions are "dumb questions", any piece of information is highly appreciated!! Also I am not in a hurry to move, I can wait a few years, but it doesn't hurt to write myself up to waitlists lol.
