So, the Ted series likely won't be getting a 3rd season due to budget issues, but what if they solved that with a Rodger Rabbit style approach? At the start of the season Ted and John could try a new weed strain that causes Ted to appear as a 2D cartoon from both of their perspectives. Yeah, it's stupid, but stupid suits Ted.

Then as far as timeline, that could be solved by setting it in between Season 1 and 2. It could have a summer break theme, which i think would be a fun switch up.
