Passed my TMC! Onto the CSE next!
It wasnt that difficult but there were definitely some curve balls they throw at you. I normally count how many questions that I am not 100% certain of on exams. I counted about 40. I assume most of those were the ungraded question.
They weren’t lying when they said mechanical ventilator/ABG interpretation questions are the most common question. One thing that I didn’t pick up on until after I graduated was fixing an oxygenation issue while the patient is in respiratory alkalosis. I was always under the assumption that you must correct ventilation before oxygenation whether the pH is either acidotic or alkalotic. But that only applies if the patient is acidotic. If the patient is alkalotic you must correct the oxygenation issue if present.
