Hello everyone, I'm very interested in learning UI /UX, personaly I'm a graphic designer specialised in Photoshop / Illustrator. I have heard all about Figma and I will be documenting everything I learn in here hopefully I will meet new friends who will help me grow as I walk on this road . Cheers
Im from Kenya, Africa. I grew up in a catholic family but my faith was not that strong even my family's faith ain't that strong. Most of us Africans believe the bible is a made up story by europeans and it was a tool used to colonize us and steal our natural resources as for me I had the same notion. "Jesus aint real " I used to tell myself then all of that started to change in 2016 December 17th.
It was on a Saturday I had just come from work and was going home I then decided to pass by the local pub to drink a few bottles of alcohol, I met up with some friends , we ended up going to a night club and I remember sitting in a table full of beautiful women and we were having fun I was not even buying my friend was despite me having around 70 dollars with me . Then black out someone is shouting at me wake up Im outside the club on the street lying on the ground I search myself and all the money that I had plus my phones are all gone Im completely left with nothing .
The first thing that came to my mind was maybe I became too drunk and my friends decided to go with my things so I end up searching for them Im able to locate one of them and he tells me he couldnt find me yesternight remember its on a sunday im still semi drunk and its around 8 in the morning . I give up and decide to head to my place thats when I meet this woman.
She talks with me and invites me to her church I decide to go and on reaching the church I black out completely everyone is singing and worshiping me I'm asleep and zoned out. After the service the pastor talks to me and I promise to come back the next sunday . I come back to church for around a month then I quit little didnt I know it was God telling me this is where you will worship me .
Fast foward 4 years later its 2020 Im falling deeply into sin Im also telling myself im a musician and I do music then it dawns on me Im jobless I live with my parents my life is going nowhere completely I remember my church and since my church is missionary sponsored I go there hoping someone would help me get a job in another town since the town that im living in the friends that I walk with are the ones making me do drugs and taking a downfall in life. I found this missionary lady and told her to help me relocate the answer that I got that day was the one that changed my life she told me to go read Mathew 7:7 ask and it will be given to you . I was a little bit surprised that instead of her helping me she was telling me to speak to God ....I decided to let myself try and for 4 days I prayed to God to help me get out of that town and on the 5th I got a call from a stranger telling me he found my contact from another person (this person was completely unrelated to my church ) and the guy tells me he has a job for me 300 kilometres away from my town he sends fare and I go .
From then on I have never looked at no one else despite all the falling down i have done God and Jesus have always been there for me , He gave me a job , gave me a wife, gave me a child , gave me a house . He has been faithful . Jesus is alive
