if anyone wants cozy, well-directed recs (non-hs/college)
If you’re looking for romance/rom-coms with adult age MCs & LIs (think mid 20’s and older) here are some recs no one asked for!
Currently obsessed with these 3 🥰
Off the Market & Too Sweet To Ignore are both office romances (-ish for Off the Market) and In Bloom’s MC also has an office job 😌
All 3 of these are hella cute I can’t wait for more and the directing for each of this is 👌🏼👌🏼
*Too Sweet to Ignore* - the dialogue, the back stories, the way the author writes? I can’t. It’s too good. I think this is a slow burn romance? But it’s so good it makes my heart flutter. I’ve paid gems for almost every bonus scene and it was absolutely worth it IDC. Also idk how she did it but she inserted me, like my profile avatar into the story. Crazy!? But this story is literally too sweet to ignore 😌 (please laugh)
*Off the Market* - the banter on this is top tier. I am obsessed! Also the directing esp the club scene 👀 Like that was a moment! This one is rom-com with lots of com! There’s boundaries, talking like actual adults, proper apologies and the LI’s strong suit is communication so if you hate overplayed miscommunication tropes as much as I do, this is the one for you 🌸
*In Bloom* - if you haven’t read this literally what are you even doing?? The directing, the absolute eye for detail, the most thoughtful scenes? Like just walking in the city? The bg characters are thought out + you’ll hear exactly what the city sounds like. Every single thing in this has been made with so much care & attention even the side characters. The story feels like a warm hot chocolate by the fireplace. It’s cozy in story form basically. Also a slow burn but a cozy slow burn 🥹
If anyone wants to just yap about any of these 3, i’m your girl 🙋🏻♀️
