I’m kind of new to bass guitar, and I love playing metal songs on it. However, I’m also a huge fan of rap and hip hop, and I was wondering, is it possible to use a bass guitar to play along with the 808s or the song. If so, how could I get started and are there like tabs or something? (My goal is to basically just play the 808 beat)

I'm currently a Junior without a SWE internship, so do you think CS 169A would be helpful for me? Thanks!
