Noob here....

I don't understand why you would ever even repair a vehicle on Official.

Walking/Running isn't that slow.

You are a beacon for people who want to take your car. I have been watching people play Dayz and no-one is friendly to another player in a car. They are incredibly loud, and the snipe heavy gun gameplay means that they are open when the are on the road.

How do you store you car when you stop playing? Don't you have to make a base (which can be broken into) and leave it there?

I only have about 50 hours, but I've never seen a car in a even remotely good condition, and it seems like it would take a while to fix one up.

I've seen people say that cars are really just decoration, but that kinda seems like a cop out as the vehicle system is integrated into the game.

Am I just approaching vehicles in this game incorrectly?
