Mike Fetters was a cult D-Back favorite and long time bullpen coach. He was also the only MLB employee to ever give me a baseball (which I gave to a kid). Was Mike fired as part of the 2024 caching purge or was there something only you insiders know?

I really appreciate D-Backs fans comments on this sub encouraging our broadcast team to “keep it classy” but probably a decade ago I remember an apposing pitcher throwing a no hitter. Conventional baseball etiquette is not to say the words “no hitter” when a pitcher is throwing a no hitter. I remember Mark saying “no hitter” as much as he could in an effort to jinx the opposing pitcher; I thought it was brilliant announcing. So my question is should the opposing broadcast team be expected to maintain such etiquette in the name of sportsmanship?
