Does a happy ending exist for a character like MCU Matt Murdock? What does that even look like for him post Born Again season 3? I think it’s time for us to accept the fact that Foggy Nelson is probably permanently dead at this point. His identity has been revealed, and he likely will never practice law again.

His biggest tie to humanity, Foggy, is dead. He has lost his firm. His mother is still on sabbatical. Prison will likely send him even deeper into the darker parts of himself, but he can’t be Daredevil right now, either.

He has Karen, Kirsten, the Defenders and, christ almighty, Frank freaking Castle as his closest friends and allies. Elektra is still only rumored to come back. My question is, does a somewhat happy ending exist for the character, or is he meant to be a tortured hero for the rest of his life?

What kind of ending (if not happy or healthy) do you envision for the character that would make sense narratively?
