I'm trying to figure out how to get initiated for free, additionally I don't want to be initiated into any specific practice or group like Santería, Haitian or New Orleans Voodoo, or Ifa. I would like to stay on the interdisciplinary path that I have already been on.

But haven't really seen anyone talk about this as an option. Nor about getting initiated for free. I barely have the money for food right now to be able to afford anything. And the Babaalawo I consulted with said he would charge my $1500 with instalment plans, which is just not doable at all.

Also, how do you find mentors for this? Ive been doing everything on my own via research and studying, but I would like to talk about what im learning with someone.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I have an interesting situation. I just woke up from a dream where I was trying to open a portal and the portal was light. Originally I could see a light like it was like if I was looking into the distance I could see like this very bright like light open path. but when I finally tried to open the portal I couldn't open the light and instead I opened up a portal to darkness it was really pretty with like purple and blue hues kind of like a kaleidoscope.

And in the darkness there was a man or a person that was dancing out towards me with drums and I Heard a voice say that it was Sango. And I had two tools in my hands, that were made of wood but I don't know what the tools were. And I was trying to fight the darkness but the portal just kept getting kind of bigger and coming towards me. just like how I saw the light - it was just in the middle of nowhere - and I think I rejected the portal. Today is Wednesday. and yesterday the morning started with a lot of thunder and lightning directly over our house, it was extremely loud and sounded like a war zone. not a lot of rain, just very loud and strong thunder and lightning.

What does this mean? Was it Sango in my dream?Did he announce himself the day before.

Extra info: Also I am currently working a reverse and return * 7 ritual. I have 1 * 7 reversal black and red layered candle and two other candles one black and one red burning on my altar right now. I don't know if this is connected to any of this or not.

I have specifically asked for Orishas to be direct with me and let me know if I should work with them.

I have been drawn to Oshun, Yemoja/Yemaya, and most recent Orunmila. None of them have ever come to me ins dream as far I know or at least not directly like this. I have never worked with Sango or asked anything of him.
