Bad recommendations

I first started using SoundCloud like 3-4 years ago when I realized a lot of the songs I would discover simply weren’t on Spotify or Apple Music. I started off with like a dozen songs that I added and since then expanded my playlists to over 300 combined tracks. I was discovering songs on a daily basis at the beginning. Refining my taste, changing my taste over time. Obviously over time I’d only find a couple songs a week that I’d add.

Then about 9 or so months ago I started noticing a major shift. If before I would skip one in every 10 songs now I’m finding myself skipping 10 songs to find 1 that I’d even want to listen to, not even mentioning that I’d add to my playlist. I seriously go a month at a time without adding a new song. Also I keep getting recommended the same songs I skipped over every time I reopen the app. I’ve had instances where the same song with every so slightly different remix played 5 or 6 times back to back.

All the videos I’m finding besides YouTube shorts that show a specific shot I can’t seem to find anything. All the videos cover the effects on the ball with English, where it will go after contact with the cushion but not actually showing how to aim while applying it.

I feel like all of my shots with English that go well are either balls that are basically over the pocket or if I’m lucky. I can’t seem to figure out if I should aim with English and keep my bridge in place and then just shift my tip in different spots of the ball? Or should I be shifting my cue parallel to the straight shot? A mix of both?
