KD World Unresolved Questions

I know we all have questions we are waiting for I&M 2, Blood Heir 2, or Wilmington 3 to answer.
One looms largest in my mind and that is: what’s the deal with Hugh Elara and the chicken!?

What question lives rent free in your head?

Maggie made my friend love reading again 🩵

Lent my copy of TKWNKM to my friend who had fallen out of love with reading and tonight she told me it’s made her fall back in love. And she’s only gotten to Maggie visiting the tea house for the first time. I look forward to inducting her into the BDH soon.

TKWNKM was I alone in this (incorrect) theory on the first read?

I am listening to the audiobook now and remembering how on my initial read I was convinced Maggie was the Haruhi Suzumiya of Kair Toren. I figured her powers were causing the character inconsistencies since she had a thing for Reynald so she was unconsciously changing things to make him more age appropriate and hotter. Then she would have an existential crisis at some point about how she had unconsciously influenced this man and abused her power and we would get that quality House Andrews contemplations on the nature of power and what it means to use it and the morals and ethics around that.
The actual twist was much better.
But was I the only one in an early 2000s anime thought train?

GA Recommendation for the BDH

If you are a BDH member and you’ve ever identified with that bumper sticker saying “I’d rather be watching the 1999 cinematic masterpiece ‘The Mummy’ staring Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz” and you are sleeping on the GA adaptation of the Amelia Peabody series this is your sign to stop sleeping.
Thank you for your attention on this matter.
