I’ve done my own oil changes for my 2016 Jetta since I’ve bought it but I keep running into the same issue. I’d seen multiple YouTube videos on how to change the oil and they all mention torque the drain plug to 22 ft/lb but when I have to get under my car again I’ve noticed the oil pan is wet. I’ve changed out the drain plug every time like VW says to do but with something from AutoZone or Napa.
Has anyone else had this issue? Do I need to tighten it more? Is it the plug itself and any recommendations for what plug to use?
