Can our plum tree be salvaged?
We have a 4m tall Mirabelle plum tree in our allotment garden. For years we have struggled with it and haven’t yet got a single plum to make it to maturity.
We have issues with Aphids and plum pocket fungus. I have tried to ward off the ants that are encouraging the aphids, but no luck.
Our allotment garden doesn’t have running water, so we can’t hose all the aphids off with a powerful jet sprayer. And because it has grown so high we can’t reach the top branches to remove the infected fruits at the top.
Any recommendations are welcome
