Question about the process

I recently applied for a position. I was told I was over qualified by my answers and was requested to interview for a higher level job. I said yes, and it was set up. Not through Leo though. They didn’t even ask me to fill out an application for the new job I interviewed for. Just sent out invites.

Next, I did the interview and that following week I got a call from the recruiter stating they wanted me and asked my salary expectations. I told her, and she stated it was on the high side, but not past the top range. Then she told me I would be contacted the next day with an offer. I got nothing, and I’m now day 4. I was told that it needed to be approved from multiple people since it was close to the top range. Which I get, but why say you’ll have the offer letter in 24 hours? I sent a email asking for any update and got nothing. I’m no stranger to being ghosted, but it feels off.

Is this all normal? I feel like something is a miss.
