Should I drop out of my ABSN and go to Community College
Hello everyone. I am currently in my first semester of an 11 month ABSN program and I am feeling extremely overwhelmed. I originally wanted to go to a community college and get my ADN. I saw my alma mater offered an ABSN so I decided to go here and try it out. It’s already week two and we are doing clinicals. The first week of training in the simulation hospital was basically learning vitals for a few minutes and then sitting around doing nothing. I understand the main ideas in Patho and Pharm but I really simply cannot understand anything deeper. I been studying so much but this pace is really getting to me. I realize my anatomy and physiology skills are lacking and all the different words and terms are just confusing. It’s just so much information in such a short 11 week semester. Do I get my refund and go to a community college or just tough it out? I definitely think nursing is a great path but honestly I’m in no rush and I also don’t want to be burnt out from such a quick program before I even become a nurse.
