Alucard's .454 Casull?

Alucard's .454 Casull?

Having grown up on a very limited diet of select anime, I have always loved the idea of shooting a long slide 1911, similar to the Casull used by Alucard on Helsing. Coming back to reality, does anyone have positive experience with 6+" 1911s in .45 acp that maybe cost less than a mortgage payment? The one gun I'd buy just on vibes.

New to shooting, family is catching the bug

So I've fired guns many times in the past. I bought a 12ga over-under before the 2020 state shutdown, never fired it once. Then I decided to the a P365 as my first handgun, so that I had the option to carry concealed two years ago. My wife was always anti-gun, but she started to come around when Asian people in my family's neighborhood started getting attacked. A few months ago, she suggested getting a second handgun for home defense, so now I have a Canik SFT, which I love. Took my oldest daughter shooting, and now she's hooked. Shoots better than me. Not long after, my youngest expressed interest, so I just bought a Rock Island TM22. My famously frugal wife goes "okay, this is the last gun for a while..."

So... what should I get next? I will own a 1911 at some point, but I kinda also want a derringer.
