Horizontal cube perspective help?
So I'm new to drawing and having quite alot of fun with it, but of course I want to make sure to not neglect learning the fundamentals. I know that it's pretty important to understand how to draw boxes in perspective, and I want to make sure I am consciously understanding and learning to hopefully train my skill to draw from imagination.
I figured it's not a bad idea to start trying to learn how to draw a cube at different rotations on a single axis, and to eventually move on to adding the additional axis later on.
These pictures are how I'm trying to practice it and I just wanted input on if this is the best way of going about it. I start with drawing an overhead view of the box, then attempting to draw the box from that perspective. I then use a ruler to extend the lines of the edges to check my accuracy.
Aside from the method itself, I'm also struggling with keeping my boxes box shaped and not weird rectangles, I tend to draw the back edge lines way shallower than they need to be, and probably other problems I don't immediately see.
At the moment I feel like most of these problems would be solved by improving my VP accuracy, which also makes me think that the solution at this point is to just keep practicing now. I'm honestly not too sure if I need to change anything or if I just need to keep doing it. Any words of advice would be appreciated! Thanks!
