First of all, who the fuck makes a problem with a piecewise function and a first order diff eq. That’s honestly just mean. Second of all, IN THAT SAME PROBLEM, YOU WERENT ALLOWED TO USE THE VARIABLES NEEDED TO SOLVE FOR WHAT IT WANTED. I don’t know how much I can say about the exam itself, but if you know you know. I had to just IGNORE their instructions and use the variables I needed to use anyway in order to solve it.
AND NOT ONLY THAT, ONE OF THE MCQs WAS JUST WRONG. I fucking swear, the center of mass one with linear density doesn’t have a single correct option to pick from. I triple checked that shit, I even turned it into a geometry problem to make things simpler. And I kept getting the same answer WHICH WASNT ON THE GODDAMN SHEET.
Edit: I have been informed that I’m a silly goose for this MCQ, since I did not account for the fact that some portions of the mass are further away from the center than others. Unfortunately, the FRQ part I’m pretty sure is just written wrong
