I’m in the early stages of what I always thought was my dream fish tank, a community 55 gallon cichlid tank right inside my entry door. I clearly didn’t do enough research because I didn’t know I purchased a bonded pair of jack Dempseys, they were terribly labeled at my LFS and the guy working had never been around an aquarium(he was asking me the names and asking if I could scoop them) long story short I now have a pair of Dempseys, a yellow lab cichlid, and a pair of convicts all smaller than 2-3 inches in a 55 gallon tank. How long will they be fine? Should I get a bigger tank? Take the Dempseys back? All advice appreciated!
