I validated a SaaS idea with ads, got clicks, but no signups. Should I keep going?

Hi everyone. I’m trying to validate a SaaS idea before spending months building it, and I’d genuinely like feedback from people who’ve already built SaaS products.

The idea is basically an AI receptionist for appointment-based businesses that works through WhatsApp.

The original idea came from real people I know:

- A tutoring business with multiple tutors who wants automatic scheduling

- Two salon owners who want clients to book with specific staff members automatically

The system would let businesses:

- register multiple workers/tutors/stylists

- sync calendars/availability

- let clients book through natural WhatsApp conversations

- automatically handle reminders and scheduling

I followed the common “validate before building” advice:

- made a landing page

- created demo videos

- ran TikTok/Instagram ads

- tracked clicks and signups

The ads actually get decent clicks and website visits for very little money, but the conversion from visitor → signup is 0.

Now I’m trying to understand:

- Is this a sign the idea itself is weak?

- Or is this usually just a messaging/landing page problem at this stage?

- At what point would you personally stop pursuing a SaaS idea like this?

I’m not trying to promote it — I genuinely want honest feedback before investing months building it
