New fragrances - opinion
I just went to pick up my car scents order from the recent sale and decided to give Cotton Candy Clouds and Pina Colada Swirl another chance. I already know I hate Neapolitan Ice Cream because I tried it twice, and it smelled like poorly done chocolate in the form of bitter cocoa powder and plastic.
Cotton Candy Clouds is a more tolerable Pink Berry Clouds, which has such a strong air note it ruins the fragrance for me. It’s still too light of a fragrance for me to consider buying though.
Pina Colada Swirl starts out fruity and yummy but quickly turns into what smells like pulling cardboard storage boxes out of a musty basement.
Then on a whim I decided to try Crafted Cognac, Florce Flow, and To the Moon on myself. Someone had posted about liking men’s fragrances for themselves recently, and I knew I liked these but never considered trying them for me.
Crafted Cognac smells very nice. Like a sweeter warm men’s fragrance, although it could easily be unisex. My problem is that it’s very light and I can only smell it with my nose against it. That might be different with full wear. If it were, I would definitely consider it for myself.
Force Flow is definitely a freshy but with something extra with that sage in there. I’m not sure I like this one for myself, but I think it does lean a bit unisex.
To the Moon was my favorite on first spray. You can really smell the lavender, and it leans almost feminine. The dry down smells almost like a fresh clean floral soap. My husband owns this one, and I think he’s going to have to share. 😉
I tried Nocturnal Rose once before when deciding if I should buy it for my husband. I liked it for him, but it was a bit too strong and spicy and woody for myself. It defiantly has projection though, because I kept smelling it coming off of me as I was walking around for at least a couple hours.
